I will have to check the date on this, but this is outrageous. This is just one example that speaks to the challenge of battling obesity, particularly in childhood, when a family's access to nutritious food options is so limited. This should be unacceptable to all of us in 2016.A great reminder that healthy has so many different looks! Focusing on what your body can DO is the perspective shift that could truly propel you forward.
These are some great points about why these many fads, including juicing, are at best, useless, and worse, harmful. MBHF promotes eating a variety of foods, with an emphasis on the nutrient rich ones, moving your body often, in ways that make you happy, and taking care of your emotional self. Juicing and cleanses and wraps and shakes and patches and any of the other plethora of things that show up in your newsfeed everyday, don't fit into that equation.

Models exist internationally that could help turn the tide here in the U.S. We have to start somewhere. Food education is an incredibly important step.

You may be feeling lots of things about yourself and your health, and those feelings are incredibly important and worth exploring, but "fat" is not a feeling. Who you are as a person has nothing to do with your body's relationship with gravity. If you have ever looked at yourself in the mirror and said something that you would never say to a friend, take five minutes now, read this, and SHARE.
